Akord Projects was engaged to design and deliver a fitout that balanced clinical functionality with a calm, welcoming feel. The result is a polished and efficient space that supports the needs of both practitioners and patients, a modern dermatology clinic with a clean, confident presence.

Clean, Efficient, and Thoughtfully Structured

From the outset, the brief for Blacktown Dermatology was clear: the space needed to prioritise clarity, efficiency and patient flow. We delivered a crisp, well-structured interior with a minimalist aesthetic, using neutral tones, durable surfaces and clear lines to communicate both hygiene and professionalism.

The layout includes multiple consultation and procedure rooms, all designed for clinical precision while maintaining patient privacy and comfort. The reception and waiting area are open and light-filled, offering a calm experience for patients as they enter.

Functional Design, Elevated Finish

While highly practical, this fitout doesn’t sacrifice visual appeal. We incorporated subtle timber accents, warm textures, and soft lighting to offset the clinical palette, ensuring the space feels polished but not cold. It’s a space that supports confidence in care while keeping the user experience front and centre.

Delivered efficiently and with attention to detail, Blacktown Dermatology is a great example of how a specialised medical fitout can be both functional and aesthetically refined.
